I’m planning to go to Sarawak in mid-October and would like to go to Mulu and Niah cave. How do i get there?
Can i go there without travel agents?
Is it easy to get public transport to get there?
I also want to know if there are accommodation around Mulu and Niah so i don’t have to rush to go back to the city.

if you are from kl u can get direct flight KUL-MYY,also KCH-MYY or LBU-MYY…im not sure about public transport but its only a small place,you wont get lost there.
To get to mulu u can take flight MYY-MZV or by land but it will tke a long journey..to book hotel its better to book from travel agent as they offer a lower rate than the hotel publish rate..

First you have to traval to Miri first. From Miri you have to take flight to Mulu cave.
From there use flight from Miri to Mulu. The park can also be reached by boat (via Marudi). However, there is no regular boat service on the last section of the trip so longboats must be chartered.
For the park accommodation, the Royal Mulu Resort, an international class hotel, and a number of guesthouses are situated along the Melinau River, adjacent to the park.

i just came back from Mulu few weeks ago..
i went to Miri first, then took a small plane (FAX) to mulu..
and yeah.. just like wat ALi baba said, i stayed in Royal Mulu Resort.
when u stay in Royal Mulu Resort, u can ask the hotel staffs to bring u to the caves, parks etc.. and they will send u to the airport when u r leaving..
